Fast Train to Lyon, Embark MS Emerald

The next stop was the train station where we boarded the TGV fast train which transported the group to Lyon at approximately 200 miles per hour.

Lyon lies at the juncture of the Saône https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saône and Rhône Rivers https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhône where we boarded the MS Emerald. Before turning in we passed the confluence of these two rivers, marked by the Musée des Confluences https://en.lyon-france.com/Discover-Lyon/culture-and-museums/Museums/musee-des-confluences#&gid=1&pid=2 and cruised through the night to arrive at Tain-l’Hermitage and Tournon-Sur-Rhône.
